The City of Satellite Beach continues to closely monitor the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19  while following the guidelines set  forth by the Governor of Florida and the CDC as well as recommendations from the National Recreation & Park Association and Florida Parks & Recreation Association.

Fresh Local ProduceSatellite Beach Farmers Market
Our Farmers Market will be closed on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and will re-open January 7, 2021 and continue every Thursday from 10am - 4pm at Pelican Beach Park, 1525 Hwy A1-A. Our vendors provide items that are all hand crafted or grown including produce, spices, local artwork, honey, hand crafted jewelry, soaps, wood art and more! Satellite Beach Bike Collective
Join us the 1st 7 3rd Saturday monthly at the DRS Community Center, 10am-1pm. Learn how to repair your bike, build a bike and talk all things bicycling. Tools and advice provided, BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike). Email SattyBBC@gmail.com for more info.

February 28 Satellite Beach Lion’s Club Car Show
Satellite Beach Lion’s Club 10th Annual Car Show will be held from 10am-2pm at the DRS Community Center. Registration at 9am. Family fun includes raffles, door prizes, music, food and vendors! Contact Lance Smith (321) 403-3971, or email lalink84@aol.com, to register your car or truck. Cost is $20/car or truck. Awards for 13 trophy categories plus best of show. Support this great event - 100% of proceeds benefit local charities!

March 6 City-Wide Garage Sale Two Ways to Sell!
Sell at the DRS Community Center 8am-12noon! Individuals or organizations can rent a 10’x10’ space for $15 in the DRS parking lot to sell their garage sale items. Space rental proceeds will benefit Satellite Beach Police Athletic League (PAL). Join us on the second Saturday of the month during spring at the DRS Community Center for a FREE Movie on the Green. This month's Movie, A turtle's Tale is brought to you in partnership with the Sea Turtle Preservation Society. Did you know Florida hosts 90 percent of the sea turtle nests laid in the United States each season, and Brevard County’s 72 miles of beaches are part of the largest nesting sites of loggerhead sea turtles in the world!? STPS will be on hand to help remind residents and visitors alike how we all can help make this year’s nesting season a success by learning to share the beach with sea turtles. There will be limited number of family take home outreach activity kits available. Arrive early and enjoy Food Trucks and family friendly fun. "Family green spaces" and “Drive-In” Golf Cart spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis. Event begins at 5:30pm Movie starts at Dusk

April 1- Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt
Children in 1st-6th grades hunt unassisted at this fun nighttime event. Bags will be provided for your eggs, bring your own flashlight. Cost is $7/child and tickets must be purchased at the SB Recreation Dept. by 5pm April 1. Arrive at DeSoto Baseball Field by 8:45pm. The hunt begins promptly at 9pm. April 3 - Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Infants through 1st grade will enjoy snack and juice, hunt for eggs, and watch the Easter Bunny arrive on the Fire Truck. This event is held at 10am at Pelican Beach Park. The cost is $7/child, and tickets are purchased in advance at the SB Recreation Department. Don’t wait, this event sells out every year! April 10th    Hook Kids on Fishing
The 10th Annual Hook Kids on Fishing is coming to Satellite Beach! Youth will meet at the SB Library ponds at 8:30am to sign in. The program begins at 9am and ends at approximately 11am. There will be instruction on casting, fishing techniques, habitat restoration, conservation, knot tying and more! Kids ages 5-15 are welcome and registration is $3.  A parent is required to stay with children.  Space is limited so register early! Registration opens March 1st.  All registered participants will receive a free rod and reel and tackle box thanks to Fish Florida Tag. April 10th - FREE Movies on the Green - Trolls World Tour (PG)
Join us on the second Saturday of the month during spring at the DRS Community Center for a FREE Movie on the Green. April's movie features Trolls World Tour (PG). Arrive early and enjoy Food Trucks, music and family friendly fun. Come dressed as your favorite Troll for the chance to win a prize! April 17 - 5th Annual Garden & Earth Day Fair
Join us at the 5th Annual Garden & Earth Day Celebration. Hosted by the Satellite Beach Beautification & Sustainability Board, this event is held at the DRS Community Center from 9am-2pm. This family friendly, outdoor fair promotes nature and nurturing our environment while beautifying our surroundings. A variety of vendors will be on hand showcasing garden related products and educational displays. Beautification Board members will be on hand to assist with any questions you may have. Funds raised go directly to city improvements.

May 1 - Rock n’ Roll Revue
Melbourne Municipal Band is back for another Rockin’ Saturday afternoon. This 12-piece band features the coolest rock n roll music from the 50s and 60s. Event starts at 2pm on the “green” at the DRS Community Center. Food Trucks will be on hand. Food, fun and live music for all ages! Come join the fun!

May 8th - FREE Movies on the Green - Shrek (PG)
Join us on the second Saturday of the month during spring at the DRS Community Center for a FREE Movie on the Green. May's movie features everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek (PG). Arrive at the swamp early and enjoy Food Trucks, music and family friendly fun. "Family green spaces" and “Drive-In” Golf Cart spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis.
