RECREATION FACILITIES

Satellite Beach Recreation Department

Located at the corner of Jackson Ave. & So. Patrick Dr. in the David R. Schechter Community Center.  We are responsible for most of the programs and facilities listed in this brochure. Our phone  number is 773-6458.

Gameroom @ DRS Community Center The game room is a drop-in center and children can come and go as they wish.  Instructor:  Rec. Dept Staff  Ages: 2^nd-7^th grades Date: Mon-Fri Time: 2:30pm-5:30pm, during the school year Location:  DRS Community Center  Cost:  Free but a form needs to be signed by parent in advance.

DRS Gymnasium (Basketball & Volleyball)  Located in the DRS Community Center, the gym is open for drop-in play for students after school.  Ages:  2^nd grade and older Date:  Mon-Fri  Time:  2:30-5:00pm, during the school year Cost:  $1/child paid at the door.  Gym phone 773-2128.  Memberships are available. Satellite Beach Skatepark Located at the S.B. Sports and Recreation Park Complex (next to the S.B. Library).  Time:  Mon.-Thur. 4:00pm-9:00pm; Fri. 4:00pm-10:00pm; Sat. 10:00am-1:00pm Beginner skate and 4:00-10:00 for all; Sun. 4:00pm-8:00pm, during the school year. Cost: $3/pp (Special $1/pp beginner skate is Sat. 10:00-1pm & Thur.  4:00-6:00pm). Skaters must have a waiver completed and wear a helmet while skating. Elbow & knee pads strongly encouraged. DeSoto Tennis & Racquetball Courts

The DeSoto Recreation Complex has eight-lighted tennis courts and two enclosed racquetball courts.  The courts are available for open play daily 8:00am-9:00pm, however it is suggested you call in advance for court reservations.  Daily court fees apply and memberships are available.  DeSoto Tennis Court phone is 773-3313.

Satellite Beach Off-Leash Dog Park The

1 ¼ acre park is located at the SB Sports and Recreation Park (next to the SB Library) for your dog to play unleashed.  New visitors must bring their dog’s shot records (as provided by your vet’s office) and have rabies and a county tag on the dog’s collar.  Time:  Daily Mon-Fri 8:00am-11:00am & 4:00pm-7:00pm; Sat & Sun 8:00am-7:00pm. FACILITY RENTALS

The City of Satellite Beach rents several rooms to accommodate your special party, business function or group meeting.  Call 773-6458 for details!

Pelican Beach Clubhouse 

A great facility for a club meeting, small wedding or gathering.  Maximum capacity is 70. This facility is the most requested site beachside and has an outdoor wooden deck with a view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Pelican Beach Park Pavilions 

Our recently renovated park has 6 pavilions for your rental. “Pelican” (large – seats 70) for $95.40/day; “Sea Grape” (medium – seats 30) for $63.60/day; “Turtle” (medium – seats 30) for $63.60/day; “Coquina” (small – seats 20) for $63.60; “Starfish” (x-small  - seats 12) for $38.16; “Vista” (standing room only) for $95.40. All rentals require an additional $100 security deposit and each pavilion has use of a charcoal grill (except Vista). The park is ADA compliant for these amenities: middle parking lot dune crossover, restrooms, showers, and playground. Park use is from 8:00am-7:00pm.  Commercial grills, personal vehicles, inflatables, tents/canopies and extra tables will not be permitted.

Samsons Island Transportation

Free public transportation is available each Sunday, leaving from the dock at the Satellite Beach Fire Dept., 1390 S. Patrick Dr, Sat. Bch., at 1pm.  First come first served.
