The Satellite Beach Police Department is dedicated to traffic safety and enforcement programs to help keep our city residents and visitors as safe as possible when traveling through our city. Our police department has been recognized state wide for outstanding traffic safety efforts and has received numerous grants for traffic safety equipment, such as the speed display board seen around the city. The Satellite Beach Police Departments Motorcycle Traffic Unit is staffed by three officer certified in Police Motorcycle operations. The division is supervised by Sergeant Eric Fuller. The Motorcycle Unit is responsible for all aspects of traffic enforcement to include special patrols in problem areas, investigating all traffic crashes and traffic homicides. TRAFFIC COMPLAINT PROCEDURESThe department has implemented the “Selective Traffic Enforcement Program” as a means of addressing traffic related complaints. If you have a specific complaint about ongoing traffic safety issue such as cars speeding, running red lights, reckless driving, etc. Please call 321-773-4400 to initiate a S.T.E.P. A motorcycle officer will be assigned to the problem area for three days and take appropriate enforcement action, with spot checks to continue after the three-day S.T.E.P. is completed. The complainant will be contacted and informed of the results of the program in their area.
