The Satellite Beach Farmers Market continues weekly at Pelican Beach Park, 1525 Hwy A1A, on Thursdays from 10am-4pm. Sea Turtle Walks
The Sea Turtle Preservation Society offers guided Sea Turtle walks in Satellite Beach beginning in June and ending in July. Reservations are mandatory and are accepted after May 1st. Call (321) 676-1701 for reservations.
April 14 TWLOHA Run For It 5k

Satellite High School Stadium is the host site for the annual American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The Relay is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and raises money for cancer research along with free programs and services offered locally. April 22 Earth Day
The City will host its first local Earth day event from 9am-2pm at DRS Recreation Center. Learn about City projects and volunteer opportunities while visiting with vendors and speakers who educate and inspire sustainability and stewardship in the community. May 13 Rhythm in Motion Recital
The recital performance presented by Satellite Beach’s own dance ensemble, Rhythm in Motion will be held at the Eau Gallie High School Auditorium at 2pm. Fun Nights at SHS Pool
Bring the whole family to the Satellite High School Pool on June 14, June 28, July 12 and July 26 for an evening of family pool fun! Use the diving board, lap swim and bring your inflatables. For $5/family each Thursday, you can enjoy some water fun from 6-8pm. A parent must remain at the pool with their children.
May 5 Boating Safety Day
The City of Satellite Beach and the Brevard–area Coast Guard Auxiliary are co-hosting this FREE community event. Family-oriented, kid-friendly training will include: knot tying, heaving line throwing, life vest fitting, radio use, local Indian River Lagoon geography, navigation and channel markers, You’re Suddenly in Command training, and paddle board safety stations.
*Vessel Safety Checks-To earn your 2018 USCG Decal, bring your boat, jet ski, kayak or canoe to the DRS Community Center between 10am and 2pm or call Bill Cox at (321) 338-5050 to schedule a vessel exam at your home (dock or driveway).
*Earn Your FL Boater’s ID- The Coast Guard Auxiliary will teach this FREE class which begins at 8am and ends at 4pm. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. To attend the Boating Safety Class; contact Satellite Beach Recreation by Friday, May 4 at (321) 773-6458.
May 26 PAL Mini-Bunko Night
This is an “Adults Only” game of dice. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play, you’ll learn as you go! The Teen Zone doors open at 6pm for dinner and dice roll begins at 7pm. The cost is $15/person for advanced tickets, available at the SB Recreation office, or $20/person at the door.Having a hard time finding the time to drive over? Call PAL and reserve your tickets and we will have them for you at the door! The event is sponsored by the Police Athletic League (PAL) and benefits their youth programs. June 2 FREE Dance Day
Rhythm in Motion Dance is hosting a FREE Dance Day for children ages 3-12yrs at the DRS Community Center. Have your child come ready to move in comfortable clothing and they may try a class! Schedule is as follows: Ballet, Tap, Tumbling for ages 3-5yrs begins at 11am, Gymnastics for ages 4-9yrs at 10am, Gymnastics for ages 10-12yrs at 11am, Ballet for ages 6-12yrs at 10am, Hip Hop for ages 6-12yrs at 12:15pm. Classes last about an hour and a parent must remain on site. Ms. Lanore, Rhythm In Motion Director, will be available to answer questions regarding the upcoming summer and fall classes. Sustainability Workshops Series
The City of Satellite Beach has begun a series of workshops designed to engage the community about a variety of topics and projects related to the City’s Sustainability Action Plan. Everyone is welcome to attend and all presentations will be recorded and made available on the City’s website. Summer schedule is: April 26, Dark Skies & Sea Turtle Nesting; May 31, Community Involvement & Stewardship; June 28, Recycling & Sustainable Products; July 26, Lagoon Landscaping Pilot Program; and August 23, Dune Restoration & Vegetation.
