Brody

by Lorraine Gott
When my beloved Brody suddenly passed away on June 29, 2001, I vowed that I would never lose another dog before they had a chance to run free.  My stunned grief propelled me into action to create a dog park in Satellite Beach, and the consent of City officials gave me untethered permission to pursue a dream I shared with many dog lovers throughout Brevard County.  With the unleashed support of the City, dogged determination of dozens of volunteers, and great fanfare, the Satellite Beach Off-Leash Dog Park opened its gates to “man’s best friend” and their humans on June 29, 2002, the first anniversary of Brody’s passing.
This park is dedicated to the wonderful pets that grace our lives and live in our memories forever.
