Mary Ann began surfing at age sixteen while attending Cocoa High School. Following high school, in 1969, she moved to Satellite Beach.
Her love of surfing, coupled with a desire to compete, led her to the tournament circuit.
Her accomplishments include:
4th place in the U.S. Surfing Championships in 1972 in Huntington Beach, California
2nd place in the World Surfing Contest in 1972 in San Diego, California
1st place in the East Coast Surfing championships in 1978 in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina
1st place in the United States Championships in 1978 in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina
After living in San Diego, California for twenty-five years, Mary Ann has returned to her beloved Satellite Beach where she still enjoys surfing, boating, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and the great spirit of the people of Satellite Beach!
