Adam Wickwire
Professional Surfer
Adam is an 18-year-old professional surfer from Satellite Beach who has traveled the world since he was ten years old.
He has been home educated since the third grade, and lives with his parents and his older sister Amanda in Satellite Beach.
His other two sisters, Angeli and Amber, are both married.
Adam started surfing at the age of five and began entering local contests at the age of eight.
He is a former three time National Amateur Champion, a four time East Coast Champion, a four-time competitor in ESPN’s Surfercross (placed 2nd in 2004, and won the 2005 event with teammate David Pingree), and also won two pro events in 2005.
Adam recently signed a three year pro contract with Rip Curl and is sponsored by Channel Island Surfboards/Al Merrick, Red Bull, Smith, Gorilla Grip/FCS, and Freestyle.
He is under management by Boardsports Management, and has his own website which can be viewed at http://www.adamwickwire.com. Adam enjoys dirt biking, fishing, golf, tennis and playing his guitar.
