You ask WHY the reduced hours? Budget restraints due to tax reform required that all Satellite Beach Recreation Facilities reduce the hours they are open to the public. In most cases, the deleted hours were when the park was not well attended. The Satellite Beach Dog Park will continue to open with a city staff so tell your friends who may not be able to utilize the County dog parks to join you in Satellite Beach!

Dog Obedience Classes Offered

Joyce Jellison teaches both puppy (8 weeks-4 months) and dog obedience classes right here in Satellite Beach. The Sept. class is full, but sign-up now for the dog obedience course starting Nov. 1. For information call 773-6458.

Support Our Local Dog Activites

*September 15- Paws at the Pier at the Cocoa Beach Pier, 10am-3pm. Enjoy our signature event and join 300 of your closest friends. Tropical music, great food and exciting events, all to help the homeless animals in your community.

*AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day event Woof It Up will take place in at Riverfront Park in Downtown Cocoa Village on 9/22/07 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hurricane Season and being “Pet Prepared”

Ø Know where you can take your pets during an evacuation…. Call 633-2024 or www.brevardanimalservices.com to find out about pet friendly locations

Ø Be a smart packer… include food, vaccination records, photo of your pet, pet medications

Ø Collar with ID, leash and proper sized carrier important

Save the Date! The SB Dog Park Halloween Howl will be Sunday, October 28^th at 1pm. $3/entry (must show vaccination record if new to the SB park) will get you into the park and the Howling Event. Over 30 dogs turned out last year! Awards, refreshments and a good will be had by all!
