For the Good of the Order:
Now would
be a good time to purchase a brick to be added to the dog park walkway. $25/brick allows three engraved lines. Get a brick order form from the dog park staff.
Click on www.theanimalrescuesite.com to help the program
obtain free food for the shelter. Once at this site,
click the purple box “fund food for animals”. Advertisers
use the daily hits to determine the amount of free food given to the shelter.
Save the Date! Come
join us for a fantastic afternoon of “stellar” dog performance.
Bring your “happy to be around other dogs and people” dog and enter the Satellite Beach
Doggie Olympics on Sunday April 20, 2:00pm at Olson Ballfield in SB. Fun events include high jump, frisbee catch, homerun derby, hot dog retrieve and
others. By design, the events are challenging for the
dogs (‘cause they don’t really understand why they should retrieve a hot dog placed in the water
in the first place, it should be hand fed to them) and absolutely hysterical for the owners and
audience to watch. Awards, giveaways, raffles and light
refreshments are all part of the fun. Now, here is the
IMPORTANT PART… In order to be assured of a well
attended event, we ask that you sign-up and pay the $10 entry fee at the dog park or recreation
office by April 11th. A low sign-up will
force us to cancel the event. You can use this form if
you pay at the dog park.
PS- as always, you must show proof of current shots for your dog
and he/she must be wearing their current Brevard County ID tag on their collar.
