Dog Olympics coming to Satellite Beach

The Satellite Beach Dog Park proudly announces the second annual Doggy Olympics.  Test your dogs’ talent in some of our Olympic Events… High Jump, Obstacle Course, Cookie Catch, and Homerun Derby.  The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 29, 2pm at the Olson Baseball Field, 530 Cinnamon Drive.  Bring your dog on-leash and please only one dog per adult.  All dogs must show written verification of current rabies shots and they must be wearing their Brevard County Animal License Tag on their collar.  $5/entry!  Bring the whole family to cheer on your Canine Competitor!   To view the flyer go to    www.satellitebeach.org/Recreation/RecDogHome.htm

 

 
Florida International Museum, St. Petersburg…… Wolf to Woof, The Story of Dogs

Plan a visit to the Fl. Summer is Around the Corner

Some safety reminders…. Never leave your dog in an unattended car; watch for symptoms of heat stress which include heavy panting, glazed eyes, staggering, rapid pulse and vomiting (call a vet immediately!); keep fresh water available for your dog at all times! 

            **** Sign-up for the American Red Cross Pet First Aid Course being held****

                       at the Satellite Beach Civic Center on Saturday, June 30, 9am-1pm. 

                           To register for the $35 course, call the Red Cross at 890-1002.

 

Same Breed Night, 6-8pm

Same Breed Night is a way to meet & socialize with others who own the same dog breed as yourselfl.  Entry requirements for your dog still apply (current shots & County tag.)

Dog Park entry fees will remain in effect and the park will not be closed to other dogs.

1st Monday of each month-German Shepards                 1st Wednesday of each month- Pugs

2nd Monday of each month-Dachshunds                         2nd Wednesday of each month-Terriers

3rd Monday of each month-Boxers                                  3rd Wednesday of each month-Labs

4th Monday of each month-Golden Retrievers                4th Wednesday of each month-Greyhounds

1st Tuesday of each month-Shelties

2nd Tuesday of each month-Breed Challenged
